Shelton Woolright is a New Zealand born London based creative with a BA in Design majoring in Photography. His works touch on urban life and popular culture expressed through a multitude of mediums that include street art, music and photography. His creative influence is inspired whilst touring internationally as the drummer for the alternative rock outfit 'I Am Giant’…
Inked onto his arm, Shelton Woolright sports a simple tudor rose. Although modest in comparison to his other tattoos, it is this motif that has become his calling card. Best known as the drummer for alternative Rock outfits 'I Am Giant' & 'Blindspott', in his new series of photographic works, Shelton reconstructs this tudor rose out of materials drawn from his life experiences. Each motif is created by hand, and the places, people and events that mark his creative journey emerge in the details of these new images, exhibited for the first time next at The Hub - DC Shoes creative space and media studio located at 15 rue Montorgueil, Paris, France.
This exhibition will then travel in March to the Viaduct in Auckland, New Zealand.
The exhibition marks the global release of Shelton's new range of shirt designs - an artistic collaboration with DC Shoes available since January 2015.
